Punching-perforation

High-performance method for cutting metal sheets by plastic deformation

What is it?

Punching is a method for processing sheet material in the cold state, performed by drilling or shape-changing operations.

The use of punch cutting of sheet material is a widespread operation for processing products in large quantities, perforating products, etc. Punching is a process that allows metallic materials to be formed by the familiar method of plastic deformation.

This process is highly productive. It is preferred in many areas of the industry as its advantage is low cost.

Technology

The punching process begins with the creation of a specific die. Upon completion of the die to be used in the manufacturing process, the sheet or strip is placed on the die and pressure is applied to the metal by force.

The whole process is carried out by the force of pressure exerted by mechanical or hydraulic punching presses.
